Vermin

While most enemies on the Terminus map are straight-up flesh-eating zombies, more grotesques and tormented horrors also await you as you explore more areas. Vermin is a large, spider-like creature having the utmost and unsettling feature of having a screaming human head. This enemy type is weak when you fight alone but these prove a much bigger threat when you encounter them in a group. There will be times when you find them evolving out of a usual zombie, with the head and some internal organs bursting out of the body and spider-like legging appearing. With all the extra legs than the bipedal threats, the Vermin are fast-moving enemies and can they leap at you to deal damage, charging at you with an open mouth. Occasionally, you may also spot them spitting a caustic substance at you. Vermin can also evolve into an even more terrifying form called the Parasite. They release gas, their skull-like thorax further stretches out, and they transform into an airborne menace.
